languages study from an italian mothertongue point of view

english

i've learned english in school (very basic, who went in italian public schools knows why i say it, the pen is on the table) but the most work was at home as an hobby, anytime there was a song on mtv or radio tried to go along with it and write the title or lyrics by sounds (mostly wrong) as an exercise, videogames had no translations so knew basic words at memory, used some books i had at home i'm still glad we had, one was a dictionary for kids with images near them so was easier remembering them and underlined my favorite ones or written notes near them, all books was full of illustrations, then in 2013 got internet and that's where got the big jump in leveling up my language

french

did 3 years in school and was going well up to 8 vote in middle school one of few lessos i was good at, remember nothing of it aside je suis and bonjour, i hate the nasal sound but the sweets are good gimme a croissant now

spanish

did 3+2 years, remember nothing aside listening it in latin music fortunately italian and spanish can be similar unlike portoguese, is a language i want pick up again both for hobby and for use it in daily life as there's a lot communities using spanish here, i hate it's grammar as much as italian one but the language is cool, will never learn how to pronounce the "j" properly

japanese

picked it up as hobby with duolingo, but i'm trying to quit duolingo badly, had learned all kana last years but had dropped it and remember a bit of it, my current language study will put more resources i use in future here:
