viva piñata is one of the first games I've played on xbox 360, the colorful fun cover just attracted me when looking for used games at gamestop back in 2009 i think
about the cartoon was aired on tv during 2010 so used to watch it while watching other cartoons and anime, the whole italian dub aside the ost is impossible to find on internet and ost is very strict on copyright strikes unfortunately so may lose even that a day unfortunately, so i just watch the original in English time to time even though now i despise it so i just watch it for content that wasnt in the game (strawberries and starfishes for example), easter eggs (did you ever spotted them? there's a lot) and memes even though the cartoon itself is very weird and unfunny

during 2016 (or 2015?) got in my brain to search if existed content about my fav game on the web, i have searched around for a while finding just dead 2006 forums until found existed a niche microscopic fandom on tumblr, got in it by sending asks as an anon because im a social anxious coward instead of starting a conversation lol, fortunately now is way bigger than before even if still niche so it's easier to find :3 and in the recent years it grown sooo archives much compared to before
this fandom is really special to me because discovered very nice dear persons i bring into my heart everyday, people that now i even consider like family to me, influenced my current art style (and extended it by studying about alebrije) also helped me a lot mentally speaking, even with few flaws it's a fantastic place to stay in TuT or at least in private, i'm not in the online fandom that much anymore, it changed a lot too, so i hope you can too get a bit of joy from this crazy colorful world now
the archive is something that started casually, i was searching for proper images to use as art reference, but there wasnt a lot or was difficult to use, my best source is pinataisland.info but as stopped getting edited and forum got deleted years ago there's still some missing niche infos and few things archived on archive.org, at same time i was on a mission of easter egg hunting and lost media (more like wandering in online thrift shops and specific languages websites) plus like mentioned before fiding comparison between cartoon and game models, all together with some time put together a collection of low quality pics done with phone at the tv screen and uploaded on tumblr, hours and hours of gameplay and minigames to get them, a discord full of cartoon screenshots and a discord for lost media, but here are present only gigabytes phone pics hosted on tumblr at the moment,
my current projects are still the lost media (there's still some mysteries), document as much dragonaches combos can dig (i should have around 8 dragonaches atm) and finishing the archive, i haven't been playing that much like before but i've been missing vp lately, want go at 100% pinatas collection this time (even though i will never get the special big sheep, giant zumbug or neon chocodoclus sigh), i want try to even get thspace e jeli on nintendo ds version, finding more viva pinata websites, digging into more abandoned decompiled flash files (there's really a lot stuff there in swf files), also document more textually with more infos,
is a very very ambitious project but it make me happy to do it

unfortunately yes, but it's my fault because i taken a responsability bigger than what i could manage, i knew would ended that way because social skills isn't my forte, was struggling that period for personal private motivations and still do and ended up even putting my site silently on hiatus disappearing for my own health for a whole year (not really, i just prefered being invisible, i checked neocities and other hosts daily all this time because i like staying here and practiced coding offline) and at the moment would be still a big responsability and the credibilty of longevity and management already got tarnished for my own fault i admit, won't take again something i know i can't manage despite my being happy about it, but if anyone else want do the same thing i would be sooo happy to see around a viva pinata webring and i would happily join it
